2024 VINTAGE GP SERIES

As we've had some good feedback on this, I thought I'd lay down some ideas as to how it could pan out:

VINTAGE CAR: Any 1:10 Off-Road Model produced in or before 1998, including re-releases.

MOTORS: 17.5 Brushless / 27T Brushed

TYRES: Free choice.

RACING FORMAT:
1). I don't think numbers will be sufficient to split the classes, nor indeed to split them further by year of production.
        So, I propose 'mixed' qualifying with separate Finals.

2).   6 cars per race (unless entries determine otherwise for the purpose of marshals).

3).   6 Qualifying races each and 1 Final.

4). Qualifying heats:  1st- 5 pts; 2nd- 4; 3rd- 3; 2; 1 and 0 for 6th or a dnf.

5). Top 6 scorers in both classes go to their respective 'A' Final; next 6 to 'B' Final, etc.

6). Qualifying points will determine grid positions for Finals. Top scorer Grid 1, etc.

7). 'A' Final points:  1st- 20, 2nd- 17, 3rd- 15; 13, 12 and 11 for 6th. Dnf - 0.
        'B' Final: 1st= 10; 7; 5; 3; 2 and 1 for 6th. Dnf - 0.

. Qualifying and Final Points added together to give each individual their Overall Score. Maximum Score: 50.

9). 5 Rounds with 3 Best scores to count.

10). Trophies for first 3 in each class on completion of the 5 rounds.

11). Number of laps per race will be determined nearer the time, (approx. 5 mins).

ANY INPUT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!

Maybe just to confirm the years of models that can take part, and to confirm re-releases are ok?

Some folk may run brushed motors, so maybe a suitable alternative to a 17.5 (which I believe is a 27T brushed motor)?

And free choice for tyres?
